The efforts of a non- breeding male

I'm not to sure anymore, if only the male Superb Fairy-wrens get the girl of their desire? I watched the same male I observed last week today. He was after this girl, and he followed her into the bushes.blush

Here they are:

the boy DSC00985 (2) DSC00975 (2) DSC00982 (2) and the one he followed, I,m sure they are lovers DSC00989 (2)

Sorry, I think I didn't explain very well what I meant. I believe some of the male wrens, although not in breeding plumage, do have partners. This one I took photos of last week, performing a  ritual to impress the female, certainly seems to be successful.

Against the odds, or against the rules??? Saw them a minute ago, they are still together. Is that a bit like "having sex before mariage?"
