Poor birds were feeling the heat today in Perth as the temperature rose to 40° degrees. I put the sprinklers on low for them over the course of the day so they could cool off a little.Silvereye cooling off.Brown Honeyeater feeling the heat with it's little mouth open.

Great shots Shoop
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Yes great shots Shoop. I'm sure they appreciated the sprinkler in 40 degrees C. Do you have a bird bath? In the Perth climate the silvereyes and honeyeaters would no doubt appreciate that too. Honeyeaters, like the dusky, the scarlet, the golden backed and the lewin use mine a lot, the lewins almost continually.
Yes Night Parrot we have two bird baths in our backyard which get used constantly (mainly for drinking other than bathing but the odd one does now and then) both enjoyed by the doves, honeyeaters, silvereyes, wattlebirds and not to mention the wasps. Here are just a few photos of one of the baths which get used and shared by many.

Possibly the cutest scruffy Silvereye shot I have seen, how adorable is he/she peeking out like that! Beautiful captures shoop. Love that you have so many visitors to your backyard & birdbath, must be so fun to watch. My new birdbath has yet to be christened by anyone , but I'm sure it will eventually.
