Just finished watching the movie tracks, about an epic trip a lady took around 40 years ago, so beautiful don't miss it, she became known as the camel lady as she used camels to make the trip from Alice Springs to the Indian ocean and though I enjoyed the movie I couldn't help thinking of how much damage the millions of camels roaming free in the magnificent Australian outback have done to the native vegetation and in turn driven the countless number of birds and marsupials that are found there out or close to extinction.
I watched it recently - good movie

I haven't seen the movie, but I am of an age that had to read the book for high school English. I seem to remember enjoying it.
Cheers
