the first one this season. This female Crescent Honeyeater is one of the first to come down into my shrubs. Yesterday they were still high up the trees. The Lewin's Honeyeater had his work cut out, chasing them away. But he was out numbered
Hope they'll hang around for a few days yet, so I can get some nice photos. They will only stay for a short time, and move on.
It could be an immature bird? Have to find some info about when they breed around here?

Indistinct crescent & fairly indistinct yellow wing probably makes this a juvenile, Araminta. Morcombe says the crescent honeyeater breeds any time of year.
