Yes I too love the call of both of the Butcherbirds. In fact I was listening two of them this morning while I was eating breakfast out on the verandah. Great way to start the day.
One of my favourite birds as well.
When growing up on 5 acre block we use to have them flying onto window sill and knocking on the glass.
Asking for scraps
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
I was sitting under a tree in the local park and one flew onto the branch above me very close and gave that characteristic double note call and then flew off.
