I have two birds that i am unsure of, both small in Northern Sydney weedy bushy area.
a small bird, slightly yellow or cream under parts and an orangey bill. I thought it was a female Fairy Wren but it was smaller and the tail was down. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
And another small bird with a multi note song, dark around the head maybe grey, but with white eyebrow stripe or face stripe..Light underparts. Flying in the open, smaller than a scrub wren.
Thank you
Im not much good at ID unless I see a photo - and not much better then!. First one possibly something like a brown gerygone or yellow thornbill or female golden whistler or a pardalotte. Second one - nothing comes to mind other than yellow faced HE, but that has yellow not white matkings.
Thanks for your help WD, i will have to go there and try again for photos, they were very quick little birds, but it was an overcast day so may have better luck next time.

I did see a fair number of birds that i did recognise, pardalote, Lewins HE, yellow Robin, so it won't be a hardship to return!
