I was looking at my honeyeater photos for 'Bird of the Week Challenge: 2nd June - Honeyeaters'
now I am confused, is it black-chinned honeyeater or brown-headed honeyeater
please help !

I suggest a juvenile Black-chinned HE asI can see sufficient chin colouring

Toss up but I'll go Brown Headed, maybe juvenile, just due to the brown flare behind the eye in photo one. I havn't seen one so just a guess purely based on book data.
It is a brown-headed honeyeater. In the top image you can see that the pale skin around the eye, is completely surrounding the eye. In a black-chinned honeyeater, the bare skin is only above the top half of the eye :)
