I had late lunch at Araminta’s place today, she had a very bad cold, but that didn’t keep her from serving tea and some beautiful cake . I don’t live very far from her, and her husband picked me up. The nicest people you could imagine, and the most beautiful place.
I was very lucky to meet one of her King Parrots. They just turn up without being fed. Her garden is teaming with wildlife. I took lots of photos, here are just two of them.
Great shots, thick knee. You're very lucky to be able to visit M-L's place, haha.
Lucky! :)
And gorgeous, rich photos of the King Parrot. :)
Nathan , M-L told me you are a very intelligent young man. You would recognize one of her photos, wouldn’t you?
But this one is mine!!!!!!
I use a Pentax K5 IIS and a 300 SMC D/A*. But on this occasion we swapped cameras and she let me use her Sony SLT-A77V and her 70-400mm Sony G lens. She also gave me a few pointers how to use it. Shutter speed was 1/800 sec ISO 1600. You clever boy.
windshear, the brilliant reds are so typical for all Sony lenses.
(But what would I know? I'm just an old guy .)

Many thanks for the compliment, thick knee. I suppose I would recognize M-L's photos, after all,I have seen hundreds of them(or even thousands, who knows?),haha.
Of course, I would recognise her photos... they are all watermarked "M-L". haha
Brandon (aka ihewman)
I also saw the "Moobird on her fridge" (Moobird /Bronzewing), used to think M-L was just telling some of her famous strories ? No, I saw them with my own eyes.Didn't get a photo.

Wow! Superb photo. Just beautiful!
Very lucky indeed to go to M-L's place, I never quite got there when I was living in Melbourne!
