You may find that you get some responses here that you may not like. In Australia (thought I realise you are in Iran), it is illegal to catch wild birds and keep them as pets.
not only in iran but also in every country of europe and asia and middle east people keep songbirds in cage.
i know, in austrailia and brazil its illegal to keeping birds in cage or export. but in europe peoples keep several kinds of birds and protect them in cage
excuse me if i cant speak english more
i have some reasons but i cant translate them in english...
Your English is fine, you are doing a great job explaining the differences.
I do understand, in France my grandparents still ate Songlarks, but we have moved on from this. These days we know how important it is to preserve nature and all the wildlife , including all the native birds, for future generations. We have to provide and protect the environment for them to live in, we have to make sure we all can admire them in nature, instead of having to look at them in cages one day, and say: remember, those bird once lived in our garden, but now you can only see them in cages or a zoo.
Hi fonexic. European goldfinches are not native to Australia. They were brought to Australia in about 1860 and since then have become established over south east Australia. In many places they compete successfully with Australian finches which is a main reason for them being a pest here.
