I was in my garden looking for Yellow-faced Honeyeaters, there are many around at the moment. but very fast and shy, because the Wattlebirds keep chasing them. Suddenly I heard some noises in the tree above, there was Frank, (the King Parrot that often follows me), talking to me. I watched him for a while, but had the big lens on my camera and he was far too close to me. So I told him to wait, I'd just go inside to change lenses and I'd be back. Really, I did not expect him to be there when I came back? Well, wrong, he was. While "we talked", I was holding the camera right in his face, I wasn't more than armslength away from him.He kept eating the moss of the branches, when he had enough , he started to preen a bit. I had taken about 30 photos, said :thanks Frank, and he flew off.
(the photos are dark, because he was sitting in a very dense tree. The photos are uncropped, I really was that close)
I like Frank
