when I drive into Lake Lonsdale there's a tree that is always full of Cormorants sometimes 50 or more today something caught my eye one Pied Cormorant sitting there all on his own he stuck out like a neon sign

Thanks ML, I know their not a rare bird but we don't see many pied ones around here ,I've been trying to sneek up on them when they all have their wings out drying but the tree is out in the open and hard to approach ,probably why they like it.

Nice shot ... the various types of cormorant all seem to get along well, happy to share.

Nice shot Sparrow and I know what you mean about trying to sneak up on them .....  I found a tree recently where the same thing happens .... LPC and some Little Blacks and even a beautiful darter ... trying to wait for him to dry his wings was like watching paint dry!!! When he did I got one shot off and then he flew to the other side of the river for some privacy
