Is it likely that i would see one of these foraging on the lawn? I didn't get close enough to see it clearly, i assumed it was a normal pigeon, or young at first. It was smaller than the usual pigeon and mostly brown.

i know there are Peaceful doves in some urban areas in qld... interestingly this species is regarded as extremely aggressive to other birds when breeding (!)
Yes, thank you its a spotted dove, i wasn't close enough to see the spots, and it was more brown than the ones i had seen before.
