.....seeing there is no new challenge, I post this one here.
It is an older one, but I love it very much, because it has memories attached to it.
I sat on a chair , just in front of the house, only a few hours after I found my poor husband, who had hanged himself, behind the house. Police and coroner had just left and I sat down.
Then I saw the wrens building their nest, and the feeling got very strong:
yes, inspite of everything that happens, " life is still beautiful" , you only have to look.
So I took my camera, and shot about 200 photos.
O, the day this was taken, was the last day of October 2013.

Thanks for posting this Araminta. I find birding an amazing space to be in, away from the problems of the world. Your story is, I think, a beautiful tragedy. Your words are powerful, but your image of that little bird is inspirational, given the context in which it was taken. Thank you.
Thanks you for this posting Araminta. I am pleased that you found something so beautiful on such a day.

Thankyou for posting araminta as I have thought of this often in the last few days as my mother has been ill and has just passed away in a nursing home. It particularly came to mind as i saw a little flock of sparrows sitting on a bush in a light drizzle in a garden courtyard at the home.
So sorry to hear about your mother, WhistlingDuck. I find nature and music very consoling, both are spaces I can go to , when life gets a bit tough.
My heart goes out to you!

Thankyou araminta
My condolences, too, Whistling Duck. Losing a parent leaves a big hole in one's life.
Thankyou woko ... indeed it does
