I agree with Elsie, the colours are just gorgeous - lovely muted end of Autumn shades, yummy!  Gorgeous birds shoop, and I think it makes a nice change anyway to see the birds with some of their natural surrounds around, rather than just up close & in your face, very natural smiley - anyway, I love these shots.   I think, only think, I accidentally flushed one or two of these guys out a few weeks ago on a walk.  They were so fast though I can't be sure - very annoying (probably for them as well) as I was at least 10-15 metres away walking a designated trail.

Oh thanks guys ...and yes , the more i look at these photos I have to agree with RubyE . I am a sucker for trying to get as close as possible to my subject and it is a change to see them in their  natural surroundings with natural colours , even if it is a little blurred and out of focus . I think I done well as the day these where taken I was with my daughter who is a nanny and looks after 3 small children ( which of course were with her) so seeing these magnifiicent Bronzewings preening themselves while incouraging the children to be quiet and tread lightly was more of a challenge than the photography itself. Point, shoot and hope for the best . Gotta be happy with that !

Exactly shoop, I too try to do the same, and beat myself up over my "bad" shots - yet funnily enough it never even crosses my mind to think critically of anyone elses shots the same way!?  I need to take that appreciation tack with my own too I think wink!  I'm so glad you "got" where I was coming from smiley.  My wordy, three littlies present?  Well a gold medal shot just for that tricky factor alone in my book, LOL!
