No progress, still looking the same. All of us might be dreaming, wanting the boys to turn blue, ain't going to make it happen. The weather has turned very nasty again too. Birds know best when the time comes?
Photo taken this morning, before the rain started
M-L I have noted the issue with your male SFWs so I went out all around Canberra & the ACT today to see if I could help. I visited Mt Ainslie, Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Point Hut Crossing, Tennent, Thawra and Jerra Wetalnds again in an exhaustive search for a suitable male. At this time I am in negotiations with the chap in the below pic, you can see that he is a bit embarassed, but the required travel is a bit of an issue.

Just get him a tiny helmet and he can sit on the back of your motorbike. And if he flaps his wings fast enough, you should be in Melbourne in a few hours.
Tell him there are plenty of good looking girls down here, he’ll flap his wings even faster.

Looks like he has his own little girls already

That's what he thinks, I have watched those girls (wrens that is), they had a bit of ....... with other boys

Was too busy looking at the little boy, then I noticed - is that an out of focus Yellow Robin siting on the same rail? Wish I could get a decent photo of either (but we don't have Yellows down here), but to have a choice of 2 in the 1 shot, just can't believe how good your place must be M-L.

Yes it is Dale, Yellow Robins everywhere at the moment. But you have so many birds we don't get

Beautiful photo! I can definatly see some blue coming on that wing He looks just like ours do just before they turn blue! Maybe it will be soon?!
M-L i might have things sorted for you; today I have been to the Australian National Botanic Gardens and to Jerrabomberra Wetlands; the young male below is interested in a Victorian holiday (with benefits); he has also said that there are 2 close-by males that could be interested; I will get their full list of demands and get back to you

I'm open to any suggestions. If they hurry, I might be able to convince some of the girls to go for the boys from out of town, if they beat the local boys to "IT"
Very interesting, went to a local Park today and saw a "blue boy". The boys in the hills where I live seem to be a bit slow.
It is very cold out here, I had a No2 haircut last week, my ears nearly froze off today, had to wear a beany.
