superb fairy wren and common starling

Bear with me if this doesn't work out, it has been a while since I have used the forums. Both were taken in Tasmania late 2013. I feel that often the starling is overlooked due to its pest status here in Australia, but with the correct lighting it really is a beautiful bird.

Nice photos .... good on you for posting the starling pic, very striking bird in its various plummages.

I really like your SFW shot, thats a lovely scene. Always interesting to see the environment as well as the bird.

Beautiful shots both of them Amateur ...and so very nice to see you again, I myself have only recently dropped in again. What I love about your shots apart from  the  gorgeous colours in both birds,  is the inclusion of habitat showing how they appeared to you. I  think that gives viewers so m uch more insight into the experience than super close bird only or part thereof shots  .....  and if I was down in Tasmania I guess I would want to be sharing that part of it for sure.
