It can't be far off, the breeding season that is. There seams to be a pattern or a certain sequence of behaviour. Up until now there were large groups of males and females all over the grassy areas, eating and eating as if they wanted to get into good condition? For the last few days now the group has split into two, at the moment the females are very vocal, whlie the boys get into a few fights. Could this be the start of sorting out the ranking? There certainly is a fair bit of singing happening. Can't wait , after all Wrens are my favourite birds

Sorry, no idea why the last one posted twice? Then one of them showed up above the text? Can I delete the double one? But it doesn't matter? You'll enjoy them, at least I hope

Computer are like women, you can't live with them, but you can't live without them either (might cop some flak for that one). Nice photos as always, our SFW are also getting active, and have already seen baby Pacific Black Ducks and believe it or not a fledgling Kookaburra, so baby season is coming soon to a flock near you.

Haha, you might also get hooked, some aspects can turn into an addiction
How lucky are you, I haven't seen any young yet

Beautiful photos (as always ) I love the second one!
I noticed that the magpies around our house are nesting as they have started swooping us! also this morning I watched a pair of Pacific Bazas courting.
I'm looking forward to having some babys around!
Thanks Dale&Elsie. No2 was my first choice, the first one wasn't meant to be there, I posted it last

I'm confident little ravens here (s.e. slopes of Mt Lofty Ranges, SA) are now on their second breeding event. They're using a Monterey Pine Pinus radiata.
