whistlers or not

Still trying to identify a few from my trip round Australia. I am not convinced that they are all juvenile Rufous Whistlers and wonder if the first might be a Little Shrike Thrush. I left the berries in for size comparison.

They are all from Queensland with the first one seen at Cape Hillsborough outside Mackay; second one at Tyto Wetlands, Ingham; third is at Karumba on the gulf. Any help appreciated. Sue

2 looks like a female almost adult rufous whistler to me, Sue, & 3 a juvenile of the same species. I'll leave 1 to those more familiar with birds of the MacKay region.

Did you visit Cape Palmerston the other side of Mackay, Sue?

Maybe a Grey Shrike Thrush for the first one? But, I'm not that familiar with C/NQld birds, and have never managed to get a good look at a Grey Shrike Thrush.

2- Agree with Woko on Rufous Whistler, but can't decide if immature or female (perhaps immature due to the two toned beak?).

3- Maybe a White Breasted Whistler? But, again, can't decide if female or immature...

I believe that #1 is a LIttle Shrike-Thrush; 1st pic from Woodgate Qld 29/11/11 and 2nd pic from Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park Caboolture 25/8/13.

Agree that #2 is Rufous Whistler

Thank you all for the help. I will go with Little Shrike-Thrush for #1 and Rufous Whistler for the other two. #3 seemed quite small so I think White-breasted unlikely and that it is much younger than #2. I also saw male Rufous Whistlers at times in the last two locations.

Lachlan, I never made it to Cape Palmerston that i recall as we were on a tight schedule and eager to reach Cape Hillsborough. Travel on unsealed roads was also limited because of the Morgan. However I plan to return so will check it out.
