Could someone please tell me if that is a young crested shrike-tit in the first picture? (so cute!)
I did see the mother bird (pic.2), but did not manage to catch a clear photo.

Cute indeed, Yuanyuan. However, it’s really important to consider not just the individual bird but its habitat requirements. Unfortunately, so many Australians go ape over cute birds (& that’s fine) but give no thought to their habitat.
