I was lucky enough to have the day off on Tuesday and witness 3 x pairs of New Holland Honeyeaters diving from the low branches into a deep puddle (250-300mm depth). After sneaking into a position slowly enough to not deter the birds I focussed on a spot and took bursts (hand held) when they dived. I got mostly shots of ripples and splashes but some worked out and here is a sequence of three.

In the middle shot of the sequence he was almost completely underwater (that wasn't a positive on the gender) but they were all doing it and I must say it looked like great fun.
