I'd appreciate some help to identify this bird. It was on our bush block on Sunshine Coast QLD.

Looks to me like a Little Shrike-thrush.

I thought that this one was a bit too brown for Whistler and bill too pale??? I am really not sure.
Here is a photo of another bird taken about a week later. I thought they were the same bird but now not sure. Is this a female Rufous Whistler?
Araminta, female Rufous Whistlers have streaked underparts and the bill is short and stubby and coloured black, apart from anything else.
The last one looks like a Grey Shrike-thrush...
One thing I'm absolutely sure, No1 is not a Grey Shrike Thrush. I have lots of them in my garden.

What about an immature Golden Whistler for the first? Not sure bird 1 and 2 are the same though.
For me, the first one has the colouring and pale bill of the rufous form of the Little Shrike-thrush (aka Rufous Shrike-thrush).
I think both Little Shrike Thrush.
I am sure the second can't be Little Shrike-thrush because the bill is a grey colour. The Little Shrike-thrush is also a rufousy-brown colour. I thought Grey Shrike-thrush for the second one as it's mostly grey and has the brown brack.
They are definitely not Whistlers due to the length/shape of the bill.

Interesting, to me the two birds seem to have different beak morphologies. Bird one looks like it has a shorter and wider beak than bird two, and looks more akin to a Whistler's beak than a Shrike Thrush's. OTOH, the beak is extremely pale, even for a juvenile Golden Whistler.
+1 for Bird 2 being a Grey Shrike Thrush though.
I should have said that I am positive about the Little Shrike-thrush ID; I don't have pics with me today but will post later; indicators are the rufous body, grey-olive brown back, pink beak and light throat some with faint streaks; the angle is making the beak appear a bit shorted and broader

Agreed Peter.
Lachlan, Whistler's still have a shorter/stubbier bill than depicted in both photo's.
