I get the feeling there is something not right here? The size of the photo? Is half of it missing? Why is it so long?Am I missing something? Is the question about the tree, or is there a bird, I can't see? M-L
Hi omgecko,
.
I think your bird is a Brown Thornbill http://birdsinbackyards.net/species/Acanthiza-pusilla, but it may also be a striated thornbill. The short pointy beak (which I guess gives the species its name) and the small, almost circular body are the clues I look for.
By the way, for pictures to show their full width in the forum without running over the edges, you need to resize to about 500 pixels wide
.
I think abe is right as well :)
.
Araminta, you can usually get the full image in Internet Explorer by right-clicking and selecting "Save Picture As...", then viewing the saved image. In Firefox there is a right-click "View Image" option I think.
thanks for the ID, we have been putting a blog together of other birds we've seen while my girlfriend Moe is visiting from Canada, she loves parrots! if you can see any sp we havent listed on the blog would love to share a few more before she heads back on the 16th Nov http://avtea.blogspot.com/
Looks like a Casurina, an Australian Pine Tree.
I was born to live and I live to die.
