Taken on Norfolk Island last week. Rescued from extinction, the green parrot (as it is locally known) still numbers only in the low hundreds. A real highlight to get this shot.

It was in the wild. Just very, very lucky to see it.
Nice, imogen. It's always a privelege, I find, when I see a rare species.
What a buzz to see and even better to get a photo of a bird that came so close to the edge ,from memory they were down to 4 hens and 20-30 males of breding age and last I heard they were back up to around 200 birds, shows what can be done if we really try!
