The same day I photographed the Leaden Flycatcher (Samsonvale SE Qld) I took a few shots of another bird which was about the same size as a Grey Shrike Thrush but looked very much like a female Golden Whistler but was far too big. I have looked at these photographs severel times now and I now think this is a female Olive Whistler?
Not the best shots but will do for ID purposes.
why not little shrikethrush?
I would agree with Zosterops, it looks like a Little Shrikethrush to me. You'll notice that it has a larger beak than Whistlers typically do, and while a female or male whistler might have some rufous on it, there is a lot more rufous colouring on this bird than I would expect on a whistler.
